Supporting Choteau Schools
The Choteau Education Foundation would like to wish everyone a joyous holiday season and a happy New Year. We hope you and yours are healthy and strong as the end of 2020 draws near.
The past year has challenged many of us in ways we never expected, and we continue to look towards a time when some sense of normality has returned.
The challenges facing our community caused by COVID-19 have been acutely felt within the public education system. We want to thank Choteau’s teachers and support staff for all they have done during this difficult time to provide a sound educational experience for our community’s children.
Let us remember that we are in this together and as a community we can pull through any challenge in our way.
2020 CEF Highlights
Although the CEF was unable to hold its annual Trivia Night Fundraiser during 2020, the CEF continues to work to provide support to Choteau Public Schools. Areas of focus include fulfilling specific classroom needs, boosting Choteau High School’s Advanced Placement program, providing funding for teacher professional development, scholarships for graduating seniors, and maintaining high standards for distance learning.
In partnership with First Bank of Montana, the CEF has been able to award classroom grants to provide additional materials to enhance the learning experiences of children. Classroom Grants have been used for a variety of needs including items such as document cameras, learning tools, and guitar building kits.
Through the support of generous donors, the CEF is able to offer two scholarships to graduating Choteau High School Seniors every calendar year.
The CEF Scholarship for $1,000 was awarded to Abby Hadlock in 2020.
The Doris Carlson McMurry Memorial Scholarship for $1,000 was awarded to Hope Lindquist in 2020.

My experiences at Choteau Schools have helped shape who I am as a person
and educator. When you support the Choteau Education Foundation you will be helping us create valuable experiences and a quality education for many children to come.

I am very grateful for my education at Choteau High School. It prepared me to go to college and for success there and beyond. I think one of the strengths of Choteau Public Schools is the personal attention each student receives
